| Security Practicum: Essential Home Wireless Security Practices
802.11b networks are proliferating like mad. Even though faster wireless networks are now available, 802.11b offers users what they want at a reasonably low price. While the high throughput of other technologies is attractive to large Local Area Networks (LANs) and people wanting to use wireless for high-end home entertainment purposes, 802.11b's 11Mbit/sec is more than enough to hook up a handful of clients in your home to the Wide Area Network (WAN), which in most cases is simply the Internet. However, as we have seen in War Flying San Diego and War Flying Silicon Valley, many users are not taking adequate steps to secure their 802.11b networks. This guide is going to give a practical overview of the methods you can use to lock down your network as tightly as possible without purchasing additional software or setting up Virtual Private Network (VPN) support.
Bills Acquire DT Marcus Stroud; Add DT Spencer
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. 3/1/08 (AP) - The Bills have acquired defensive tackle Marcus Stroud in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Stroud, a three-time pro bowler comes to Buffalo in exchange for a third and a fifth round draft pick in this years draft. Stroud, who will be 30 at the start of the season, has missed 11 games over the past two seasons due to injury and a steroid-related suspension. Former Minnesota defensive tackle Spencer Johnson agreed to a five-year deal with the Buffalo Bills today as the team continues to revamp its defense. The 6-foot-3, 286-pound Johnson has spent the past four seasons with the Vikings. He played in all 16 games this past season, finishing with 24 tackles and three sacks. In 49 career NFL games, Johnson has 108 tackles and four sacks. Stroud and Johnson fill an opening left vacant when Buffalo unexpectedly released veteran defensive tackle Larry Tripplett yesterday.

Traits and habits of low-key millionaires
Some people say, 'I'm not interested in living my life that way,"' Schiff said, noting a major feature in American life is middle-class anxiety over neighbors doing much better. "If you don't want to live that life, that's OK, but don't be confused anymore about the two different paths you are on." Another middle-class millionaire behavior is choosing a house in the best public school district. Regular middle-class people say three things, almost equally, influence where they live - schools, convenience to work, and convenience to shopping. The book also reveals that studying for a post-graduate degree, unless it's an MBA, is unlikely to make you richer. "Once you get your bachelor's degree it is these four qualities, which we describe as Millionaire Intelligence, that have a lot more to do with where you go," he said.
G. Chambers Williams III: Nissan's Rogue compact crossover joins the ...
Nissan has yet another hit on its hands with the all-new Rogue. The automaker's first compact crossover, the Rogue competes against the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V, the top two import brands in the small-crossover market. Introduced last fall, it's already one of the top sellers in its segment. Nissan says it positioned the Rogue to appeal to men. I like it just fine, but I'd probably give it to my wife to drive as her primary vehicle — it's not the kind of sport utility I prefer for my jaunts into the wild. My take is that the Rogue is aimed at women, while Nissan's more rugged Xterra, based on the chassis of the Frontier pickup, is the one most men would prefer (although TV ads for the Xterra have featured outdoorsy women driving it).
